Addiction; A family disease
Addiction affects families in different ways, and in different ways for each member of each family.
Some members become very angry, some sad, some despairing, each person needs support and help.
There is a lot of help available to the person with the addiction, very little for family members that are affected.
Some times even been judged harshly, criticised as controlling as they try to protect children, or protect the family income.
Alanon is one support available or your own counselling.
Another avenue is family therapy, which allows each family member to speak their truth, very powerful.
